HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT US

Opportunities: Get Involved

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and concerns that the Coronavirus could be accidentally  passed into the British bat population, volunteering opportunities are restricted at this time  (April 2022) however we would still be grateful for help in certain fields.

Hands on bat care is currently being carried out by just one person but it is still possible,  after some training, to register with The Bat Conservation Trust to become an official Bat  Ambulance Driver and go and collect injured bats and bring them to our HQ. You can also,  under supervision, assist with rehabilitation of the bats by taking them flying in the  evenings at our outdoor netted flight.

If you would like to support us but do not wish to be involved in handling bats you can still  contribute in any of the following ways:

  • Practical help with flight maintenance.

  • Administration work.

Once circumstances improve we hope to resume fundraising talks and displays at local  events and help is always welcome, giving us the chance to enlighten the public about  bats and their importance in the world today.

Fundraising - Donations can be made in various ways via the options on our Donate page, and through our Adopt-A-Bat scheme. (Work in progress - coming soon)

Ideas and volunteers for fundraising are always welcome.
